Tips for a Tasty Christmas Season
Start your cookie baking and candy making ahead of time. Get your list ready and start planning well in advance.
That way you can pick up ingredients as you go or as you see them go on sale. And don’t save all of the work for the last minute either.
You can make your cookie dough ahead of time and freeze it until you are ready to bake it. Otherwise most cookies freeze well too, so do some of your baking before the big day so you can spread out the work.
Most candies and fudge can be made ahead of time too. That way you can focus on family or making the meal on the big day.
If someone offers to bring something, let them. And if you are going somewhere, offer to bring a side or a pie.
There is no need to be a hero and do everything yourself. Accept a little bit of help and enjoy the day with your family.
If all else fails, just make more cookies. Nobody can be disappointed when there are a pile of tasty cookies to choose from.
