This easy to make homemade strawberry hot chocolate mix recipe is perfect for winter. It is a fun way to change up your hot chocolate routine. It is pretty, pink, and delicious.

When winter comes, it is a necessity to have plenty of hot cocoa mix on hand. After building a snowman, shoveling the sidewalks, or going sledding, it is required to warm up with a mug of hot chocolate.

Of course, you can buy it from the store. But where is the fun in that?

Making your own is easy! We started with making a yummy hot chocolate mix and white hot chocolate mix back in 2015.

We have made several batches of each over the years. This year we have been focusing our holiday recipe efforts on homemade mixes, or in a jar recipes, and that series wouldn’t be complete without a new hot chocolate mix.

We have made several coffee drinks to the collection but I think we can agree that we don’t need to be giving those to the kiddos. We have enough trouble keeping up as it is!

So, I thought a cute pink hot chocolate would be a nice addition to the collection. My youngest niece is absolutely infatuated with all things pink, purple, and princesses.

This mix of strawberry and white chocolate is delicious, too. So, you don’t have to be a princess to enjoy it.

The mix is super simple to put together and only takes 3 ingredients. When it is time to make it, just add hot water or hot milk.

Which is use is totally up to you. There is enough milk powder and white chocolate in there that the hot water gives and enjoyable drinking experience.

Obviously using hot milk makes it even creamier and more rich. However you normally make your hot cocoa from a mix will be great.

Homemade Strawberry Hot Chocolate Mix

This pretty pink strawberry hot chocolate mix recipe is super simple to make. Just add hot water or hot milk to make a cozy and fun drink. This is a must make treat this winter!

To Make Mix

▢ 7 ounces white chocolate good quality
▢ ⅓ cup powdered milk
▢ 1 cup strawberry Nesquick or similar

To Make Strawberry Hot Chocolate

▢ 2-3 Tablespoons strawberry hot chocolate mix
▢ 1 cup boiling milk or water
▢ optional: marshmallows or whipped cream for topping

Instructions

Roughly chop 7 ounces white chocolate.
Put chocolate in a blender or food processor. Pulse until it is finely chopped.
Add the ⅓ cup powdered milk and 1 cup strawberry Nesquick to the blender or food processor. Pulse until the mixture is mixed and has a powdery consistency.
Store in an airtight container or mason jar until ready to use.

To Make Hot Chocolate

Add 2-3 Tablespoons strawberry hot chocolate mix to 1 cup boiling milk or water and stir until dissolved. Garnish with marshmallow or whipped cream (and sprinkles!) if desired. Enjoy!
