This yummy coffee mix is a lovely combination of instant coffee, hot chocolate mix, and peppermint extract. It only takes a few minutes to put together and the results are fabulous.

I like to use my blender to get the powder nice and fine. That helps it to dissolve quick and easy when you add the water.

Just put the powder in jars and you are ready to go! You can use it yourself or add a cute little tag and give it as a gift.

Peppermint Mocha Mix

Make a fabulous peppermint mocha at home with this simple 3 ingredient mix. Just stir it into hot water or milk when you are ready to enjoy it. Each mug tastes like it came from a coffeehouse, but it is much more affordable and you don't have to leave the house! Jars of peppermint mocha mix also make a great gift. So, make a nice big batch.

Ingredients 

To Make The Mix

To Make A Cup

  • 1 cup hot water or milk
  • 3 Tablespoons mix

Instructions 

To Make The Mix

  • Put 2 cups hot chocolate mix and ⅓ cup instant coffee granules in your blender or food processor.
  • Add the ½ teaspoon peppermint extract.
  • Pulse a few times to fully mix the ingredients and make them a fine powder.
  • Transfer to an airtight container for storage. Be sure to include a tag with the instructions for using the mix.

To Use The Mix

  • Stir 3 Tablespoons of mix into 1 cup of hot water or milk. Stir until dissolved. Enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different extracts to make different flavors of mocha. 
This recipe makes roughly 2⅓ cups of mix. 
For a stronger coffee flavor, add more instant coffee granules to the mix. Or, use brewed coffee to make the drink rather than hot water or milk.

    I have made 2 jars of the Peppermint Mocha Mix for my 2 daughter in laws as part of their Christmas. I hope they want to try while here so I can try it!

    1. I hope they let you try it! I brought some to Thanksgiving and my cousin and sister loved it as much as I did. So, I think it will be a hit!
