This Viennese coffee mix is creamy and delicious with bold coffee flavor a hint of cinnamon. You don’t need to go to the coffeeshop to get a fancy drink, you can make it right at home!

I know this may be hard for the youngsters to understand, but there was a time where Starbucks wasn’t a thing and there weren’t coffeeshops all over town. It was way back in the 1900’s, so it is hard to imagine.
At that time, girls who wanted to feel fancy like they were drinking really good coffee, but didn’t want it to fully taste like coffee, would pick up a can of cafe vienna from the coffee aisle at the grocery store.
It was the height of sophistication, a lovely mix of creamy sweet coffee with a bit of cinnamon. It was like an instant cappuccino before Frappuccino was a thing.
You know what? It is still good and you can make it at home!
This yummy coffee mix is a lovely combination of instant coffee or espresso powder, creamer, and cinnamon. It only takes a few minutes to put together and the results are fabulous.

I like to use my blender to get the powder nice and fine. That helps it to dissolve quick and easy when you add the water.
Just put the powder in jars and you are ready to go! You can use it yourself or add a cute little tag and give it as a gift.
It is just the latest in the string of in a jar recipes we have shared heading into the holiday season and it is the third coffee version! I would say it’s the last drink in a jar, but that would be a lie.
We have at least one more coming up and it is going to be a fun one for princesses. So, keep your eyes peeled for that.
In the meantime, lets relive the glory days with a mug of hot Vienna coffee.
