So many occasions call for candy. Of course homemade candy and Christmas go hand in hand, but there are so many other times where making some candy or fudge makes sense.

In fact, I have never one shown up with homemade chocolate and been turned away. It seems people are almost always excited to see someone show up with fudge or candy.

Of course some candy and fudge recipes can get a little bit fiddly. But that doesn’t mean they all are.

These recipes include a perfect mix of quick and easy recipes along with some showstoppers. There are some old fashioned sweets from my grandmothers’ recipes boxes and some modern twists as well.

So I hope you find a few that you would like to make. There is sure to be something that will be perfect for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the secret to good fudge?

For most classic recipes, the secret to getting perfectly set fudge is hitting the right temperature. But for most of my recipes, the secret is sweetened condensed milk. I like easy fudge recipes that don’t require special tools, just a bowl and a microwave.

What can I do with leftover fudge?

Fudge freezes great, so you can always freeze some for later. Otherwise gently melt some down with a little bit of milk for a luscious hot fudge ice cream sauce.
