Peanut butter lovers, these dipped Oreos are for you! Peanut butter dipped Oreos have a creamy candy coating that are perfect for almost any occasion. Top them with chopped peanuts or sprinkles to make them extra festive.

My family is big into dipped cookies and candies at Christmastime. We have always love the chocolate dipped peanut butter Ritz cracker sandwiches and white chocolate dipped Oreos.
This year, though, I thought it would be fun to put a peanut butter spin on it. After all, we absolutely love chocolate and peanut butter together.
So, when I picked up some peanut butter chips for peanut butter fudge, I grabbed an extra bag to make these dipped Oreos. Boy, am I glad I did!

Carlee’s Tips and Tricks
The mix of peanut butter chips and almond bark was really easy to work with. I like to use a double boiler because it keeps the temperature nice and even while I am dipping the cookies.

However, you can melt them together in a microwave safe bowl if you want to. Just return it to the microwave for short bursts if it starts to get too thick while you are working with it.

After you coat the cookie, give the fork a few taps on the edge of the bowl to help any excess peanut butter mixture drip off. Then lightly scrape the bottom of the cookie before transferring it to the wax paper to avoid getting a foot on the cookie.
I added some chopped peanuts to the top of half of the Oreos and festive sprinkles for Christmas on the other half. You can leave them plain, add chopped Reese’s Pieces, or any topping you would like. Just make sure to add them while the candy coating is still warm and wet so that they stick.

If you want extra peanut butter flavor, use peanut butter Oreos. They are usually pretty easy to find at the grocery store.
These cookies store well. Just keep them in an airtight container at room temperature. They will stay good for several weeks.
If you are looking for an easy addition to your dessert menu, these dipped Oreos are just the thing. I hope you give them a try!

Peanut Butter Dipped Oreos
Ingredients
- 24 ounces almond bark
- 10 ounces peanut butter chips
- 90 Oreo cookies about 2 family size packages
- chopped peanuts, sprinkles, or candy bits optional
Instructions
- Line a couple of sheet pans with wax paper.
- Melt together the 24 ounces almond bark and 10 ounces peanut butter chips. You can do this in a microwave safe bowl. Just microwave on high for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until it stirs smooth. Or, use a double boiler to melt them together.
- Drop an Oreo into the melted candy mixture. Use a fork to turn over and coat. Remove the cookie from the coating, tapping the fork a couple of times on the edge of the bowl to allow the excess coating to drip off.
- Place the dipped cookie on the sheet of wax paper. Top with chopped nuts, candies, or sprinkles if desired. Continue until all of the candy coating is used up.
- Allow the candy coating to set up completely before transferring to an airtight container for storage. Keep in a cool place. They will keep for a week or two. For longer storage, freeze the cookies for up to several months.
Notes
- The actual number of cookies you can dip will depend on how thick you are coating them. I was able to get 87 cookies dipped before the coating was low enough that I couldn’t coat them evenly any more.
- For even more peanut butter flavor, use peanut butter Oreos.
