Peanut butter dipped Oreos feature everyone's favorite cookie in a creamy peanut butter candy coating. They are easy to make and taste delicious. Make yourself a batch today!
Melt together the 24 ounces almond bark and 10 ounces peanut butter chips. You can do this in a microwave safe bowl. Just microwave on high for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until it stirs smooth. Or, use a double boiler to melt them together.
Drop an Oreo into the melted candy mixture. Use a fork to turn over and coat. Remove the cookie from the coating, tapping the fork a couple of times on the edge of the bowl to allow the excess coating to drip off.
Place the dipped cookie on the sheet of wax paper. Top with chopped nuts, candies, or sprinkles if desired. Continue until all of the candy coating is used up.
Allow the candy coating to set up completely before transferring to an airtight container for storage. Keep in a cool place. They will keep for a week or two. For longer storage, freeze the cookies for up to several months.
Notes
The actual number of cookies you can dip will depend on how thick you are coating them. I was able to get 87 cookies dipped before the coating was low enough that I couldn't coat them evenly any more.
For even more peanut butter flavor, use peanut butter Oreos.
