Chocolate Malt Cookie Mix In A Jar

This chocolate malt cookie mix in a jar is perfect for giving as a gift. The mix is easy to make and can be done in bulk. The resulting cookies have a great chew and depth of flavor with deep chocolate goodness.

Quart jar filled with layers of dry ingredients for chocolate malt cookies next to some super chocolaty looking chocolate malt cookies with chocolate chips.

I am back with another cookie mix recipe to add to our collection of giftable in a jar recipes. These chocolate cookies also have chocolate chips inside.

What really makes them stand out, though, is the malted milk powder. It adds caramel notes and a bit of extra chew to the cookies.

The difference doesn’t punch you in the face, but it does add a little extra something that is hard to put your finger on. It is one of those additions that takes the cookies from good to great.

Now, I really want to try putting it in some regular chocolate chips cookies. I think it would really add something there too.

Anyway, this mix is quick to put together. Just layer everything in a quart jar and make sure to add a tag with the baking instructions.

When you are ready to make the cookies, that process is simple too. The recipe uses melted butter, so it is no fuss.

Once the dough has chilled, just scoop and bake it. They are perfectly delicious drop cookies.

I like making edible gifts like this for neighbors, friends, and teachers. It would also make a great hostess gift for holiday parties.

It is perfect as is or could be nestled in a bowl with a cute spatula and oven mitts for an extra nice gift. I don’t know anyone who would be mad about being gifted cookies.

Don’t forget to make an extra jar or two for your pantry. Future you deserves the gift of cookies too!
