If you are a chocolate and peanut butter lover, this is the treat for you. It takes just a few minutes to put together and the resulting fudge tastes great!

This microwave peanut butter fudge is beyond easy to make. It is super creamy, not at all grainy and perfectly peanut buttery.

It is a cross between two of our absolute favorite fudge recipes. It has the best part of our favorite 3 ingredient peanut butter fudge and 3 ingredient Oreo fudge.

Of course, combining them required making it a 4 ingredient fudge. I promise, it is worth it!

A lot of fudge recipes use sweetened condensed milk, white chocolate chips and peanut butter. We use peanut butter chips instead to give the fudge even more fabulous peanut butter flavor.

Of course the Oreos bring both flavor and texture to the mix. The combination is hard to beat.

Carlee’s Tips and Tricks

For the peanut butter, you will want to use a classic jar of peanut butter. I wouldn’t use homemade or the natural peanut butter that you have to stir.

You want to make sure it incorporates nicely and the homogenous peanut butter will mix in nicely without worrying about the oil rising to the top. Plus it adds a little extra salt and sugar to the mix.

Just melt everything together in a microwaveable bowl or a double boiler and you are well on your way to a tasty treat. If using the microwave, cook the mixture in short bursts to keep from scorching it. As soon as the chips are able to be stirred smooth, it is done cooking.

If you use a double boiler, just be sure to keep the water and steam out of the fudge mixture. Be sure to wipe the bottom of the bowl before you pour it into the prepared pan.

Lining your pan with parchment paper, wax paper, or foil is not absolutely necessary, but it allows you to lift out the block of fudge to cut it into cleaner squares. If you want to serve it straight from the fan, feel free to skip this step.

If you are have trouble lining the pan with parchment paper, try crumpling it up into a ball first. Then, spread it back out and use it to line the pan. It will comply more easily that way.

The easiest way to line the pan with foil is to smooth it over the bottom of the pan first. Then turn pan over, and gently fit shaped foil into pan.

When fudge is cooled completely, lift out of pan by the foil. Then just peel off the foil and cut into pieces.

Signature that says Enjoy! Carlee.

What is the best way to serve fudge?

It is easiest to cut nice pieces of fudge while it is cold. After it is good and chilled, remove it from the refrigerator and cut into 1″ squares.

Fudge is best enjoyed at room temperature though. That gives you the best flavor and creamiest texture, so allow it to sit out for a little bit and then dig in.

Author: Carlee
Servings: 36 Servings
The combination of smooth creamy peanut butter fudge and bits of Oreo is a match made in heaven. This simple recipe only takes a couple of minutes to put together and it tastes great. It would make a great addition to your holiday dessert trays but is good anytime you need a little something sweet.
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 2 minutes
Additional Time 1 minute
Total: 8 minutes

Ingredients

  • 18 Oreos
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 10 oz bag peanut butter chips
  • ⅓ cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  • Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, wax paper or foil. If using aluminum foil, lightly spray it with cooking spray.
  • Roughly chop 18 Oreos and set aside.
  • Put 1 10 oz bag peanut butter chips and 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring well after each until it stirs smooth. (If you prefer, you can melt the condensed milk and peanut butter chips together in a double boiler. Remove from the heat once you can stir the mixture smooth.)
  • Add ⅓ cup creamy peanut butter and stir until incorporated.
  • Stir in most of the Oreo pieces. Reserve a few for the top.
  • Spread peanut butter mixture in prepared pan.
  • Press the remaining Oreo pieces into the top of the fudge.
  • Refrigerate at least 1 hour, then cut into small squares to serve.
  • Leftovers can be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator for at least one week.

Notes

  • We like a nice creamy peanut butter fudge, so we use creamy peanut butter. If you like a little bit of texture, feel free to try crunchy peanut butter.
  • Use a standard peanut butter, not the kind you have to stir before using.
  • Fudge should be stored in an airtight container. It holds well on the counter at room temperature and will last there for at least a week. For longer storage, put your airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
