Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies In A Jar
Ingredients
For The Mix
- 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- ¾ cup dried cranberries
- ¾ cup white chocolate chips
- ⅔ cup light brown sugar packed
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
To Make The Cookies
- ½ cup softened butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 jar cookie mix
Instructions
To Make The Mix
- Layer the 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats, ¾ cup dried cranberries, and ¾ cup white chocolate chips in the bottom of a quart jar. Press down to make room for the remaining ingredients.
- Add the ⅔ cup light brown sugar and pack down a bit to form an even layer.
- In a small bowl, stir together the 1 cup all purpose flour, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon baking soda. Layer on top of the brown sugar.
- Place the lid on the jar and tie a tag onto the jar with the baking instructions.
- Homemade cookie mix can be kept in the pantry for 6-9 months. So you can make a bunch ahead of time if you would like.
To Make The Cookies
- Beat together the ½ cup softened butter, 2 large eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Add the contents of the jar and mix until combined.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes, but up to 2 days.
- Preheat the oven to 375℉. Place 1 Tablespoon scoops of dough (or a small cookie scoop) about 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
- Bake for about 8 minutes. Cool for a couple of minutes on the tray then move to a wire rack to cool completely.
