I just love making festive desserts during this time of year. This Christmas tree ice cream is the newest and possibly the most fun.

Of course, Christmas and cookies just go together. So, I have been baking up a storm.

However, when it comes to dessert, my husband and son both have ice cream at the top of their list. I have seen people tasting Little Debbie ice cream flavors, and we loved the Christmas tree cheesecake last year.

So, I thought it would be fun to make our own ice cream featuring the snack cakes. I started with a batch of our favorite homemade vanilla ice cream.

Then we added some bits of frozen Christmas tree cakes. Layer some of that goodness in a container and top it with more snack cake bits and a ribbon of marshmallow fluff buttercream to mimic the filling.

Add more ice cream. Then finish it all off with more snack cake bits, frosting, and green sprinkles.

It doesn’t get much more festive than that! We all devoured our tester bowls and couldn’t wait to get more.

What are your favorite Christmas desserts? I really want to make some candy cane ice cream, too, but LD doesn’t do mint.

So if you have another festive idea, I am all ears. Otherwise, check out my collection of ice cream recipes for more frozen inspiration.
