About Cornflakes

Corn flakes have been around since the 1890s. The first flaked cereal was created at what was essential a health retreat center run by the Kellogg brothers.

They were originally made from wheat, but quickly corn became the most popular grain to make the crunchy flakes from. It was the origins of cereal as we know it and also the start of a lot of drama between the Kelloggs themselves as well as the beginning of Post.

Cornflakes can be used in so many ways. They maintain a nice crunch, which makes them perfect in a lot of applications.

On the savory side, the crumbs are great for a breading or as a topping for casseroles. They keep a nice texture without getting mushy.

On the sweet side, they are great for bars and cookies. They have a relatively neutral flavor, so they can be combined with so many things.
