A Perfect Homemade Gift

It is the perfect way to warm up on a chilly day. Or pass out jars as gifts for neighbors, friends and teachers at Christmas.

At Christmastime we like to sprinkle in edible gifts for our friends and family.  They are fun to make and folks are happy to receive them.

This white hot chocolate powder makes a perfect little present because the recipient can enjoy it easily.  Only a mug and hot water are required, no additional ingredients are needed.

Plus, once it has been used there is nothing to dust, no rearranging to find it a permanent home. Just pure enjoyment!

Luckily it only takes 5 simple ingredients to whip up a batch.  If you have a big food processor (at least 10 cups), it only takes a few minutes as well.

This white hot chocolate pairs well with so many flavor profiles. It is great on its own, of course. It has a rich white chocolate flavor.

The traditional marshmallow topping is good, so are cute chocolate Rudolph marshmallows. Or try a little candy cane for peppermint undertones.

Feel free to experiment with a fresh grating of nutmeg. Or use this mix as a powdered coffee creamer. Wouldn’t that be amazing? It would be like an instant white chocolate mocha.

You can even use some of your homemade mix to make white hot chocolate cookies. See, the possibilities really are endless!

Well I have worked up a thirst just thinking about it. So I hope you give this yummy mix a try.

Is white chocolate just vanilla?

No, white chocolate is made with cocoa butter, sugar, milk products and a bit of vanilla. It doesn’t have chocolate solids, and doesn’t taste like chocolate, but it is different than vanilla baking chips.

Add Something Extra

We like making this white hot chocolate mix recipe as written so we can add other flavors like candy cane bits or cinnamon when we make the mug of hot cocoa. However, you can blend those extra flavors into the mix if you want.
