Crockpot Cheeseburgers

Crockpot cheeseburgers are kind of like a sloppy joe, but with a cheesy sauce. Load up a toasted bun with a big scoop and add your favorite burger toppings for a simple and delicious meal.

I suppose it doesn’t get much more Midwestern than this recipe. It uses a crockpot and a nice big chunk of Velveeta.

If that isn’t the start to something tasty, I don’t know what is. Toss in some ground beef, pickles, and mustard and you are really on to something.

The results are super cheesy and savory. The pickles and mustard help to cut the richness from the cheese and beef.

All together, it is fabulous. Just make sure to toast your buns, they are going to need help holding up the all of that filling!

Of course these sandwiches weren’t a hard sell around here. Crockpot Maid Rites and crockpot sloppy joes have always been a go to.

The filling is looser and creamier than a chopped cheese and has a little bit more tang than Davy Crocket sandwiches thanks to the mustard and bread and butter pickles. They each have their place and mood, so it is good to have options!

We served ours with a Frito corn salad to double down on the Midwestern theme. They would also be great with tangy coleslaw or your favorite veggie side dish.

If you aren’t in the mood for sandwiches, toss in some macaroni instead. It makes a fabulous cheeseburger pasta meal.

Signature that says Enjoy! Carlee.
