This Peeps s’mores dip is a perfect way to put that extra Easter candy to good use. The melty chocolate and gooey marshmallows are just begging for you to dig in with graham crackers.

If you don’t have extra Easter candy, this is a good excuse to get more! Of course you can make it other times of the year as well, but the Peep smore dip is a perfect excuse to turn whatever is left in the Easter basket into a fun dessert dip.
Use chocolate bars, chocolate eggs, or even chocolate chips to make the melted chocolate layer. Cover them with colorful Peeps marshmallows and broil it until they are golden and gooey.
All you need are some graham crackers to dig in with! This sweet dip; is one everyone is going to love.
All the Easter Candy
If you are anything like me, you have a love/hate relationship with Easter candy. At first, like in any new relationship, it is all love.
Chocolate eggs and jellybeans, where have you been all my life? I have missed you so. Please come around more often.

Then Eater comes and the candy multiplies. Why yes, I will have another peanut butter egg. Thanks for asking! Then by a couple days after Easter, all your favorites are gone.
How does a whole bag of those mini eggs disappear into thin air like that?! (Don’t judge… they are so little and soooooo good!)
By midweek after Easter I just can’t with the candy any more. WHY IS THERE SO MUCH?!
How did it get to be everywhere? When will it be gone?

For Pete’s sake, shorts season is right around the corner. Why have you forsaken me Easter Bunny?!

Recipe Alterations and Substitutions
If you don’t have any plain chocolate candy to melt down, you can always use chocolate chips. In fact, semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips would help to keep the dip from getting too sweet.
Alternatively, you can use regular marshmallows instead of Peeps. Either way, they will be gooey and delicious even if the regular marshmallows are less colorful and cute.

You can use animal crackers, vanilla wafers, or even pretzels as dippers instead of graham crackers. Or use Teddy Grahams if you want to take the cuteness factor up another notch.
You don’t have to use a cast iron skillet for this recipe, any oven safe skillet will do. Or you can put the melted chocolate mixture in a pie plate or square baking dish and top with the Peeps.

Peeps S’mores Dip
Ingredients
- 1½ cups chocolate candies
- 4 Tablespoons milk or cream
- 2 3 oz. packages Peeps
- Dippers such as animal crackers or graham crackers
Instructions
- Preheat the broiler to low and make sure the oven rack is in the middle position.
- In an 8 or 9 inch oven safe skillet, melt 1½ cups chocolate candies and 4 Tablespoons milk or cream over low heat. Stir frequently to avoid burning the chocolate. Cook until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
- Arrange 2 3 oz. packages Peeps over melted chocolate. Place on the middle rack under the hot broiler. Broil until the Peeps are gooey and golden brown. This should take about 5 minutes, but keep a very close eye on it so you don't end up with charred mallows. Unless that's how you like your marshmallows, then char away!
- Serve warm with your favorite dippers like animal crackers, graham crackers, or pretzels.

Luckily we are now pretty much done with it. I think there is one more Cadbury Egg downstairs. I think at this point it has become a relic of the holiday that nobody dares destroy 😉 Oh well, it's almost birthday time so a new batch of sweets will take hold soon!
Oh my gosh, this is too fun!!! I almost wish I had bought too many peeps, but that is never a thing around here, haha. Pinning for next year!!
Next year for sure!
