These homestyle crockpot green beans with ham and potatoes are simple but delicious. You can make them as a hearty side dish or simple meal. They are a perfect way to use leftover ham, too.

These green beans with ham and potatoes remind me a lot of the way my mom used to make garden fresh green beans when I was growing up. They are savory and delicious.
Of course, you don’t have to have garden fresh green beans to make them. You can find really nice green beans in the produce section most of the time.
You could also use frozen green beans or even drained canned green beans if you want. No matter what, they are sure to be tasty.
If you are eating the green beans as a side dish, you can reduce the ham a bit if you want. Or use some crumbled bacon if you don’t have ham.
Of course you can use a variety of potatoes too. We grew up with russets, but a waxier potato like a yukon gold or red potato would work as well.
