Add 2 pounds fresh green beans to the bottom of the crockpot. Cover them completely with 2 cups chicken broth. Add some water if needed.
Add the 1 pound ham, 4 large russet potatoes, 2 teaspoons onion powder, 2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon ground black pepper to the crockpot.
Cook on high for 3 hours, or until vegetables are fork tender.
Notes
You can use canned green beans if you would like. Just drain them well. If using frozen green beans, add an hour to the cook time.
