For super tender pork chops that fall apart a bit, cook towards the higher end of the cooking range.

You are certainly welcome to brown the pork chops before you put them in the slower cooker. It really does add some depth of flavor.

However, that’s a step I am usually not willing to do before I head off to work. Luckily we think they are super delicious without that step as well.

Make sure you have some rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta ready to help soak up that sauce. You don’t want to waste a drop!

How Do You Know When The Pork Chops Are Done?

Pork chops are safe to eat once they have reached an internal temperature of 145°F.

However, when slow cooking pork chops in a gravy like this you can cook them to a higher temperature without worrying about them getting dry.

Once the pork chops are fork tender, they are going to be delicious. Serve them whole or break them up a bit if you prefer.
