Most flavors of Kool-Aid have some citric acid inside. It helps as both a preservative and to balance out the sugar in the drink.

In this case, it helps to react with the sweetened condensed milk to make it a little bit thicker. Plus you get the nice bold flavor and color from the drink mix.

Just fold in some Cool Whip and load it into a pie crust. You can eat it right away, but as with most no-bake desserts, it is best if it chills for a bit to firm up.

It’s up to you whether you pick based on the color or the flavor. We kept it pretty simple, but you could definitely jazz it up by garnishing it with additional whipped cream, some maraschino cherries, or some sprinkles if you want.

This is a fun and easy summer treat. I hope you love it!
