Add a veggie and dinner is done. We love steamed broccoli, but you could also serve it with peas, a salad, or your favorite stir fry veggies.

The whole meal comes together in about the time it takes to boil the noodles, so it is perfect for busy evenings. This is likely to become a regular on the dinner menu rotation.

Why You’ll Love It and Easy Substitutions

Ground pork is such an economical protein to build a dinner around. Add a box of spaghetti and this meal is almost done.

It is affordable, delicious, and is a real hit with our family. If you don’t have ground pork, just use ground beef or even ground turkey instead.

You could sub in other types of noodles. Rice noodles, glass noodles, or even ramen would work.

Notes

Linguine and fettuccine noodles are also great options for shapes of pasta. Or use noodles from the Asian section of the grocery store and cook according to package directions.
If desired, sauté some veggies with the ground pork. Otherwise, just serve a vegetable on the side.

I made this dish for dinner tonight, and my husband and I both enjoyed it very much! I did make a few minor changes – used fresh minced garlic instead of garlic powder, and cut the amount of soy sauce and brown sugar in half. I think it would’ve been too salty and sweet for my taste if I had used the full amount. And, I used linguine for the pasta. It was delicious, and I will make it again.
