Plate of chow mein noodles with cabbage, ground pork and a light sauce with chop sticks, ready to eat.

If you are looking for an easy dinner idea, you are in the right place. This ground pork chow mein recipe has Asian inspired flavors and only takes about 30 minutes to make.

The cabbage and onions kind of melt into the dish, so you get plenty of veggies but you hardly notice they are there. It is a great way to get the kids to eat more vegetables without the struggle.

Chow mein noodles make it fun to eat. They are perfectly slurpable.

Spaghetti works too!

If you don’t have chow mein noodles, or you can’t find them at the grocery store, just use spaghetti instead. Dinner will still be delicious.

You could also use glass noodles or another version of rice noodles if you want to.

The sauce is a fabulous mix of sweet and savory that ties it all together. There is just enough to coat everything in its goodness.

Of course we need some protein in this meal as well. Ground pork is perfect for the job.

It is a great value, making this meal super affordable as well as delicious. Plus pork just goes so well with these flavors.

There is a reason there is usually ground pork and cabbage in egg rolls. This meal brings them together in a similar fashion, while being much easier to make.
