Mongolian ground pork and noodles is a simple meal that is perfect for busy weeknights. The sauce is simple, but loaded with flavor. This Asian inspired meal will have the whole family begging for more.
In large skillet, brown ground pork, ginger, and garlic powder over medium-high heat.
Add brown sugar, soy sauce, water, hoisin, pepper, sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes. (For milder noodles, omit the red pepper flakes.) Stir well.
Make a slurry of cornstarch and a tablespoon or two of water. Put into skillet and cook over medium heat until it thickens, 2-3 minutes.
Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. Continue to cook and stir until everything is coated in the sauce and most of the moisture is absorbed.
Serve garnished with green onions if desired.
Notes
Linguine and fettuccine noodles are also great options for shapes of pasta. Or use noodles from the Asian section of the grocery store and cook according to package directions. If desired, sauté some veggies with the ground pork. Otherwise, just serve a vegetable on the side.
