Hanky panky dip has all of the creamy, cheesy, sausage filled goodness of its namesake, but it is even easier to make. Keep it warm in a crockpot so you can snack on it all night long!

If you want a new favorite dip, you are in the right place. This cheesy dip has a flavor kind of reminiscent of pizza and is fabulous on crackers and more.
Growing up, my family had two appetizers that were sure to make an appearance at big family gatherings. After holiday meals we would often have a game night and that is when the creamy clam dip and party ryes would come out.
No matter how full we were from the meal, somehow we were hungry enough to eat more. It is still a tradition today.

The problem is, I have been struggling to find the little cocktail squares of rye bread lately. I don’t know what happened, but none of our local stores seem to carry them.
So, this dip was born. It is essentially the same ingredients we use to top the rye bread, but with a little milk mixed in to make it a dippable consitency.

It is pretty quick and easy to make. If you are in a hurry, you can melt the cheese in the skillet.
I just tossed everything in a crockpot and let it melt that way. Then I loaded it up and brought it with me to family dinner.
My siblings were excited as soon as they figured out what it was. It was a huge hit with everyone.

Now not being able to find the cocktail rye isn’t such a big deal. We have an alternative we like just as much!
If you like creamy, cheesy, sausage filled dips, you may also like stuffed mushroom dip. It is a dip inspired by another one of our absolute favorite appetizers, sausage stuffed mushrooms.
