Easy Adaptations

If you are serving people with peanut allergies or sensitivities, you can use sun butter, almond butter or another almond butter instead of the peanut butter. Then add sunflower seeds, toasted pecans or another nut instead of the peanuts… or leave them out altogether.

Instead of adding M&M’s, use candy coated sunflower seeds instead. That will still give you that fun pop of color with even more nutty goodness. Use the extra sunflower seeds to make turkey rice krispie treats, they are cute and fun to make!

Feel free to substitute other dried fruit in place of the raisins. Dried cranberries or cherries would be great options, or use whatever your favorite is!
