Making fun and memorable desserts doesn’t have to be complicated. These yummy brownies will leave a tasty impression without a ton of effort.

Adding layers to your favorite brownies not only adds extra flavors and textures, but creates a ton of visual appeal as well. They are sure to be a hit with whoever is lucky enough to try them.

The Graham Cracker Crust

Anything built on top of a Graham cracker crust is sure to be good. It is a buttery and delicious way to add a little crunch to the bottom of your brownies.

Plus the golden Graham cracker flavor is a great foil to the rich chocolate layer. Just think about how well Graham crackers and chocolate go together in s’mores.

Speaking of which, you should check out the recipe for easy s’mores bars. They are another layered brownie like treat that start with a chocolate cake mix.

You can create your own Graham cracker crumbs with two sleeves of crackers and a food processor, it is super simple. Otherwise you should be able to find ready to use crumbs in the baking aisle at your favorite grocery store.

The Brownies

Using a box mix makes getting the brownie layer ready super easy. Pick up your favorite mix to ensure they are phenomenal.

Just make sure the mix is a family size mix that is intended for a 9×13 inch pan. If it is a smaller mix, you will want to use two.

You can also use my recipe for homemade brownie mix, or your favorite brownie recipe. Again, you will want to make sure it is intended for use in a 9x13inch pan or double a smaller recipe.

Don’t worry too much about making brownies with extra goodies in them. A simple brownie is best in this situation because there is so much extra yumminess above and below the brownies.

The Toppings

We all know how well chocolate and peanut butter go together. Adding peanut butter on top adds a bit of salty and almost savory layer to the mix.

Make sure the brownies are completely cooled before you try to spread the peanut butter over the top. If the brownies are still gooey you will likely end up with a delicious mess.

If you want, you can microwave the peanut butter for 10-15 seconds to loosen it up a bit. That will help to make it smooth out a little bit easier.

If you get a few brownie crumbs in your peanut butter, don’t despair. The candy on top will help to make it look amazing no matter what.

Speaking of candy, that sprinkling of mini chocolate chips and candies on top add that wow factor and one extra layer of texture. Then it is ready to serve (or save all for yourself!)
