A word of warning, if you make this recipe the house will smell fabulous all day long. In fact, that is why we have this recipe.

My husband is a contractor. He and his guys were working on a house where this was cooking.

It tortured them all day long. They must have mentioned it to the homeowner a few times, because she ended up writing out the recipe for them to have.

So, I am not exaggerating! My husband not only came home with the recipe, but offered to make it.

Of course I put it right on our menu, because he was so excited about it and you can never have too many good chicken recipes. We have been enjoying recipes with these flavors recently.

The honey garlic chicken drumsticks were a hit and so is the honey garlic roasted pork. Plus, it sounded good and the lemon lime soda in the ingredients list intrigued me.

The sauce has a sweet and sour flavor going for it with the vinegar and brown sugar. You can actually kind of taste the lemon lime soda if you are looking for it.

As the name suggests, there is a nice amount of garlic and just a bit of spicy kick from the red pepper flakes. The combination is delicious as well as aromatic.

We served it as whole chicken breasts over rice. However, you could also shred the chicken if you wanted to serve more people.

I hope you will give it a try. Or check out my collection of crockpot recipes for more tasty inspiration.
