This yummy sausage dip has been a favorite in my family for decades. It is beyond simple to make and tastes amazing.

It might not be the most photogenic, but sometimes those recipes are the best. I know you eat with your eyes first, but your taste buds have the final say.

All you have to do is brown some sausage in a skillet. You can use pretty much any kind of bulk sausage that you like.

I usually use breakfast sausage. You can also use a hot sausage or even Italian sausage if that is what you have.

Then melt in some cream cheese and a can of Rotel. That’s it. It really is super simple.

Using a Crockpot

You can add the browned sausage to a crockpot with the cream cheese and Rotel. Then cook it on low four about an hour, or until the cream cheese is melted and you can stir it together.

However, because I already have a dirty skillet, I usually melt the cream cheese in the skillet. Then, transfer the finished dip to a crockpot to keep warm.

The dip should hold on your slow cooker’s warm setting for several hours without any issue. Just stir it every so often and grab some when you are ready.

This recipes is one of those that is so simple it hardly counts as a recipe. However, if you make it you will instant be hooked.

Then you will wonder why you haven’t been making it your whole life. At least you can from now on!
