Cookies and Cream Ice Cream

Making homemade cookies and cream ice cream is as easy as can be with this simple recipe. It only takes 6 ingredients and you will have a delicious frozen treat.

Churn and Chill Time 3 hours 30 minutes
Total: 3 hours 35 minutes

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 16 Oreos rough chopped

Instructions 

  • Whisk together the milk and sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved.
    2 cups whole milk, ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • Stir in the vanilla and a pinch of salt.
    1 Tablespoon vanilla extract, 1 pinch salt
  • Mix in heavy cream until well combined.
    2 cups heavy cream
  • Pour into ice cream machine and churn according to the machine's directions.
  • When the ice cream is most of the way frozen, add the Oreo chunks. Allow to churn for about 5 minutes more to distribute throughout the ice cream.
    16 Oreos
  • Scoop into storage containers and freeze until solid enough to scoop.
