Tips From Carlee
Even simple recipes like this can benefit from a few tips from someone who has made them before. Here are a couple of ways to make them even easier:
- Cutting the butter into pieces before microwaving it helps it to melt faster. If you don’t want to do that, melt it a bit before adding the marshmallows to the bowl.
- I like to use salted butter. That way I don’t have to add any.
- Spray your hands or the spatula with a little bit of cooking spray before trying to spread the mixture in the pan. That will help keep the melted marshmallows in the treat and not on you!
There is just something fun about turning a breakfast cereal into dessert. So feel free to experiment with your favorites.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Treats
Ingredients
- 20 ounces mini marshmallows
- ½ cup salted butter
- 18.8 ounces Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Instructions
- Spray a 9×13-inch pan and set aside.
- Cut the ½ cup salted butter into slices and put in an extra large microwave safe bowl. Add the 20 ounces mini marshmallows.
- Microwave for a minute and a half. Stir until no chunks of marshmallow or butter are visible. If it isn't completely smooth, microwave for another 10-20 seconds until everything is melted when you stir it.
- Add the 18.8 ounces Cinnamon Toast Crunch to the bowl. Quickly, but gently, stir to coat the cereal in the marshmallow.
- Transfer the mixture to the greased pan and press to make an even layer. If you grease your hand or spatula before spreading the mixture, it makes it a little bit easier and less sticky.
- Allow to set at room temperature for an hour before cutting and serving.
