This banana pudding fluff is the perfect mix of two of our favorite kinds of treats. If you love banana pudding and fluff salads, this is the ultimate recipe for you!

In fact, you could almost argue that because it contains fruit and can be called a salad that it would make an acceptable side dish as well. I don’t make the rules, I am just here to help you navigate them. 😉

This recipe is a little bit different than some that you see out there because it has sour cream inside. That keeps it super creamy but also helps to cut the sweetness a bit.

Otherwise it has a lot of things you would expect. It is a more casual version of banana pudding that doesn’t require the layers.

Plus it has some marshmallows tossed in to give it the full fluff salad treatment. It is the perfect simple treat for almost any occasion.

The recipe is perfectly sized for a family meal or small gather. However, it can easily be scaled up if you are looking to serve it at a family reunion or other larger party.

Easy variations and substitutions

You can use sugar-free equivalent ingredients (pudding mix, cool whip, cookies) to make this a more diabetic friendly dessert.

You can also sub out the fruit. Try using a can of drained mandarin oranges or pineapple in place of the bananas.

Vanilla pudding also works instead of banana.
