You are just a few minutes away from a tasty apple butter dip. It is perfect to make for an after school snack, for a party or as a simple dessert.

Apple season is one of our favorite times of year. We love all of the apple recipes from the baked goods to savory uses, but we also love just eating fresh apples.

We make a simple peanut butter apple dip several times throughout the year. Sometimes we serve it with apple slices as a simple side dish and sometimes we have it as a night time snack.

As much as we like it, it is nice to have some variety and we can’t always go whole hog with our 3 ingredient caramel dip. This apple butter dip is the perfect in between, it is rich and tasty without being super sweet.

Tips and Tricks

This recipe is super simple, so there aren’t a ton of tips to make it work. Really, the biggest key is to make sure your cream cheese is good and soft before you start.

Whip up the cream cheese and brown sugar before you add the apple butter. That will ensure you get a smooth final product.

If you try to add it all at once, you will likely have little chunks of cream cheese in the mix. It will still taste great but won’t look as nice.

You can make your own apple butter or buy a jar at the store. Both work great, so use whatever you have.

Taste the dip and add a little more brown sugar or cinnamon if needed. The final taste will depend on how sweet or spicy your apple butter is.

Store extra dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

More Recipes Using Apple Butter

If you made a big batch of apple butter and now you want to do something fun with it, we have plenty of ideas. Of course it is great spread over toast, but it is also amazing in baked goods.

Start with a cake mix and whip up some apple butter mini cupcakes. Then top them with a bit of apple butter buttercream for a perfect fall bite.

If cheesecake is more your style, apple butter cheesecake is a favorite. It is so creamy and delicious and my recipe doesn’t require a water bath.

Creamy apple butter pie is another wonderful option. It would make an amazing addition to your Thanksgiving dessert spread.
