If you are looking to make edible decorations for your desserts, this white modeling chocolate recipe is just the thing. It is only two ingredients, takes color well, and can be formed into all kinds of shapes.
Warm in the microwave using 20-30 second bursts on high. Stir after each trip to the microwave until the chocolate stirs smooth.
Add the corn syrup and stir to combine. The candy melts will seize a bit. Keep stirring until the mixture is just combined. Don't stir too much or it will start to separate and get oily.
Let set until firm, or chill for 20-30 minutes.
Knead the white chocolate until smooth and pliable.
Use a drop or two of food coloring gel to dye any bits of modeling chocolate that you would like colored. Just knead it in. Then shape the chocolate like you would playdough in order to get the decorations you desire.
Notes
If you want to use real chocolate to make modeling chocolate, increase the corn syrup to 3 ounces. Store extra modeling chocolate in the freezer. To use, warm it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds, then knead until pliable and smooth.
