Turkey salisbury steaks give you all of the comforting flavors of the diner favorite. This recipe is easy to make at home and uses ground turkey making it affordable and delicious.
In a bowl, combine ground turkey, half cup of the chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and garlic powder.
Shape the meat mixture into 5 burger shaped patties.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. When the oil is hot and rippled, place the meat patties into the skillet. Cook 4-5 minutes or until the first side is browned.
Flip the patties. Cover and cook on low heat for another 5 minutes. Remove them to a plate.
Add mushrooms and the other half cup of diced onion to the skillet. Sauté over medium heat until the onions and translucent and mushrooms are cooked, about 5 minutes.
Melt butter in the skillet. Sprinkle with flour. Cook, stirring frequently, for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually pour in the beef broth, stirring to dissolve any lumps. Continue to cook over medium heat until the gravy thickens.
Return the patties to the skillet with the gravy.
Cover and cook on low heat for 5-10 minutes or until the patties are cooked through with an internal temperature of 165℉.
