Magic cookie bars are a favorite old-fashioned dessert. The recipe is easy to make with chocolate chips, coconut, pecans, and condensed milk baked on a graham cracker crust.
Preheat oven to 350℉ and grease a 9x13-inch pan or line it with parchment paper.
Place butter in the prepared pan and put in oven until melted. Shake the pan a little bit to get an even layer of butter across the bottom of the pan.
Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the butter and press to form an even crust.
Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over crust, making an even layer.
Sprinkle coconut, chocolate chips, and pecans over the condensed milk. Press down to help everything adhere.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool completely or chill before cutting into small squares.
Notes
Store your cookie bars in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days or in the refrigerator for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze tightly wrapped magic cookie bars for up to three months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
