Great Grandma's Grape Supreme Salad

This old-fashioned grape supreme salad features a mix of great fruits in a creamy dressing. It is simple to make and is a great mix between fruit salad and fluff salad. It has tropical vibes and tastes great. It will bring a touch of nostalgia to your table. Serve it with brunch, as an afternoon snack, or as a simple dessert. It would also be great for potlucks and carry-ins.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups green grapes
  • 1 cup pineapple tidbits drained
  • 1 15 oz. can mandarin oranges drained
  • 3 bananas sliced
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 envelope Dream Whip and the milk & vanilla to make it
  • 3 ounces cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup chopped nuts walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  • Make 1 envelope Dream Whip according to the package directions.
  • Beat in the 3 ounces cream cheese .

  • Add 2 cups green grapes, 1 cup pineapple tidbits, 1 15 oz. can mandarin oranges, 3 bananas, and 2 cups mini marshmallows. Stir to coat.

  • Top with ½ cup chopped nuts.
  • The salad can be eaten right away, but is best if it is covered and chilled for an hour or two first.

Notes

  • I used chopped pecans but the original recipe said black walnuts are especially good. 
  • Store leftovers in the fridge. The bananas will start to brown after a day or two, but it will still taste good.
