Are you looking for a fun and tasty snack? Dark chocolate mocha almonds are just the thing. They are sweet, but not too sweet. They have great crunch and a wonderful chocolate and coffee flavor.
6ouncesdark chocolateabout 3/4 cup chocolate chips or wafers
11ouncestoasted almonds
¾cuppowdered sugar
3Tablespoonscocoa powder
1Tablespooninstant coffee powder
Instructions
In a small mixing bowl, stir together the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and coffee powder. Set aside.
Put the chocolate in a medium microwave safe mixing bowl. Heat on high power in 30 second intervals, stirring after each, until it can be stirred smooth.
Add the almonds to the melted chocolate. Stir to coat.
Pour the mocha mixture over the almonds. Toss until evenly coated.
Spread the nuts over a wax paper lined baking sheet.
Chill for a few minutes, or until set.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature or keep in the refrigerator if desired.
