Crockpot Tater Tot Casserole is a time-tested classic, remaining a favorite for decades. Requiring just six ingredients and minimal prep time, this simple recipe makes getting dinner on the table quick and easy, freeing you up for other activities.
Spray the inside of the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
Place about half of the 32 ounces frozen tater tots in the bottom of the crockpot and spread them into one layer.
In a medium bowl, place the 1 pound lean ground beef, 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, 1 1 oz. packet taco seasoning, ½ Tablespoon minced garlic, and 1 cups shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well.
Place the beef mixture on top of the tater tot layer in the crockpot and spread even.
Place the other half of the tater tots on the top of the beef mixture and spread them until they’re in one layer.
Sprinkle the remaining 1 cups shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the tater tots.
Cover and cook on high for 2.5 hours. Serve and enjoy!

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Freeze for longer storage.
