If you are looking for a simple, but delicious, dinner idea, this Crockpot Maid Rite recipe is for you. Just make sure to have plenty of buns ready, because this meal practically cooks itself.
Place the ground beef, onion, salt, pepper, sugar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce in the slow cooker. Stir until the seasonings are distributed and the water is absorbed into the mixture.
Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours. If possible, stir once about half way through to break up the beef into small crumbles.
Serve by using a slotted spoon to scoop the ground beef mixture onto buns. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Or put in a freezer-safe container and freeze for several months. Soy sauce works as a great replacement for the Worcestershire sauce if you prefer.
