This creamy grape salad has a sweet and tangy dressing that makes it fabulous. It is a perfect make ahead dish for the holidays, BBQ, potlucks and more. It can be served as a simple dessert, but we love it as a side dish. It adds a burst of juicy sweetness to the meal.
Place the 4 ounces cream cheese in a large bowl. Beat until it is smooth and creamy.
Add the ½ cup sour cream, 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar, 1 Tablespoon light brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
Add the 2 pounds seedless grapes and toss to coat.
Cover and chill for at least and hour but up to overnight.
Before serving, stir the salad to make sure the grapes are evenly coated. Transfer to serving dish if desired. Then, top with ¼ cup chopped pecans and 1 Tablespoon light brown sugar.
Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge. They will stay good for several days, though the pecans will loose their crunch over time.
