Ingredients

hard boiled eggs

Tablespoons
butter

Tablespoons
all-purpose flour

cups
whole milk

salt

teaspoon
ground black pepper

Instructions
Peel
6 hard boiled eggs
and give them a rough chop.
Melt
2 Tablespoons butter
in a medium saucepan or skillet over medium heat.
Stir in
2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
and cook for 1-2 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
Gradually mix in
2 cups whole milk
so that no lumps form and stir constantly until mixture starts to bubble and thicken.
Season with
¼ teaspoon salt
and
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
. Stir in the chopped eggs.
Remove from the heat and give the gravy a taste. Add more seasoning if necessary.
Serve hot over toast. Garnish with more freshly ground black pepper if desired.
