Cookies and cream puppy chow features chocolate bits, white bits, and Oreo bits in a trifecta of goodness. This sweet snack mix is sure to become a favorite in your house like it is in ours.
In a large microwave safe bowl, melt the 12 oz white chocolate chips and half of the 4 Tablespoons coconut oil coconut oil together using 20-30 second intervals in the microwave.
Once the chips can be stirred smooth, add half of the 12.8 oz rice Chex and stir to coat.
Transfer the coated cereal to a gallon ziploc bag and add half of the 4 cups powdered sugar. Seal the bag and shake to coat. Set aside.
In the same large bowl, melt together the 12 oz semisweet chocolate chips and the remaining coconut oil using 20-30 second intervals in the microwave.
Once they can be stirred smooth, coat the remaining cereal. Transfer to a ziploc bag with the other half of the powdered sugar and shake to coat.
Lightly crush the 24 Oreos.
Stir everything together in a large bowl. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
Notes
You can use butter or shortening in place of the coconut oil. You can also omit it altogether, but it helps to make coating the cereal easier.
