Cap the jar tightly. Write the baking instructions on a tag and attach to the jar. Store at room temperature for up to 6 months or freeze for up to a year.
To Bake The Cookies
In a medium or large bowl, stir together the ¾ cup melted butter, 1 large egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Add the 1 jar cookie mix and stir until combined and a uniform dough is made.
Chill for at least an hour. (For less wait, scoop 1 Tablespoon balls of dough onto a cookie tray and chill like that for at least 20 minutes.)
Preheat oven to 375℉.
Scoop Tablespoons of dough (or a small cookie scoop) onto a cookie sheet leaving 2 inches between cookies.
Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool on the cookie sheet for about 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
