Amish country casserole features ground beef, egg noodles, and peas in a creamy sauce. It is a simple dinner that is perfect for busy weeknights. It easy to make, cozy and delicious.
Preheat the oven to 350°. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
In a large skillet, brown the 1 pound ground beef and 1 onion until the beef is fully cooked and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess grease.
Add the 1¼ cup milk, 1 10 oz can cream of mushroom soup, 1 teaspoon garlic salt, 1 teaspoon onion powder, and 1 teaspoon pepper. Stir to combine.
Add the 1 cup uncooked egg noodles and 1 cup frozen peas and stir.
Spread in the the baking dish.
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and sprinkle with 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese. Bake uncovered for 5-10 more minutes. It's done when the cheese is melted and browned to your liking. Serve hot.
