Ingredients

box chocolate cake mix
¾
cup
all-purpose flour
¼
cup
cocoa powder
¼
tsp
baking soda

cup
granulated sugar
¾
teaspoon
salt
1⅓

water

oil
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
½
teaspoon
coffee extract
optional

cup
sour cream
4
large eggs
½
cup
mini chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F and place cupcake liners in cupcake tins.
Whisk together the cake mix, flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, sugar and salt.
Add wet ingredients and mix on medium speed for two minutes.
Stir in chocolate chips and spoon into cupcake liners. (I like to use my large cookie scoop for that)
Bake 18-20 minutes or until the tops spring back when lightly touched with a finger or a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool completely before frosting.
