Kielbasa with Rice and Mustard Greens in the Instant Pot
Getting dinner on the table is fast and easy with this great kielbasa with rice and mustard greens recipe. Everything cooks together in a pressure cooker for a flavorful but simple meal.
Wash 1 bag mustard greens. If there are any big ribs, remove them. Though if they are tender, they can stay. Then roughly chop the greens. Set aside.
Cut the 12 oz. Kielbasa sausage into bite sized pieces. Put in Instant Pot and turn on sauté function until they brown up a bit.
Add the diced 1 small onion and sauté until the onion is translucent.
Stir in 1 teaspoon garlic powder, then deglaze the pan with 1½ cups chicken stock. Make sure to get up any bits that are stuck to the bottom of the pot. Turn off the sauté function.
Add 1 cup long grain rice, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper and optional: pinch red pepper flakes to the pot.
Layer the mustard greens on top of the rice and sausage.
Put the lid on the instant pot and press the button for the rice setting.
When the food is rice is cooked, you can let it naturally release or do a quick release.
