This carrot raisin salad has a secret ingredient in the dressing. It adds a bit of orange flavor a just the right amount of creaminess. You are going to love this classic side dish.

Ingredients

carrots
about 6 medium

cup
raisins
½
teaspoon
salt

cup
mayonnaise

teaspoons
Tang powder
Instructions
Peel and shred
½ pound carrots
.
In a medium bowl, stir together the
½ teaspoon salt
,
¼ cup mayonnaise
, and
2 teaspoons Tang powder
.
Add the grated carrots and
½ cup raisins
. Stir to coat.
Cover and chill for at least an hour or two. Stir before serving.
Notes
Feel free to add more Tang powder for extra sweetness and orange flavor.
Pineapple tidbits are also a great addition if you want more fruit in the salad.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will last for several days.
