This crockpot haluski with kielbasa combines cabbage, onions, and egg noodles with the convenience of a slow cooker; making it a hearty, filling meal the whole family will love. It cooks all day while you get stuff done, so dinner is practically ready when you are. Toss in some egg noodles at the end and you are good to go.
Remove the core from 1 head cabbage and cut into bite sized pieces. Put in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Rough chop 1 medium onion and cut 1 lb. smoked kielbasa into 1 inch slices. Place over the cabbage.
Sprinkle ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon garlic powder and 2 Tablespoons brown sugar over everything. Add 1 cup chicken broth.
Cover and cook on low for six hours.
Cook 8 oz. wide egg noodles for a minute or two less than the package directs. Drain and add to the clow cooker. Stir and allow to cook for another 5-10 minutes.
