These sweet chocolaty no bake treats look like birds nests but taste like haystack candies. They are quick and easy to make and perfect for spring and Easter.
10-12ouncebag salted caramel chipsor flavor of choice
¾cuppeanut butter
12ouncebag chow mein noodles
egg candies
Instructions
In a large glass bowl, melt together the 12 ounce bag semi-sweet chocolate chips, 10-12 ounce bag salted caramel chips and ¾ cup peanut butter. Start with a 45 second burst in the microwave and then do 20 second bursts, stirring well between each trip to the microwave. Stop as soon as it stirs smooth to avoid scorching.
Stir in the 12 ounce bag chow mein noodles.
Spray 24 cupcake wells with cooking spray. Fill each one 1/2 to 2/3 full with the chocolate covered chow mein noodles. Use a spoon to gently nudge the noodles up the side of the tin leaving a small well in the middle.
Allow to set most of the way before removing them from the tin. I used a thin plastic knife to loosen them.
Allow the to set completely then fill with candy eggs.
Notes
Feel free to mix and match any combination of baking chips you'd like. Butterscotch, peanut butter, or milk chocolate would all be good too.
