Egg in a basket, camel eye, toad in a hole... it doesn't matter to us what you call it, just do yourself and make it! Watch us make these easy eggs in a hole and you'll see a delicious breakfast can be on the table in just a couple of minutes.
Cut a circle out of the center of each piece of bread using a biscuit cutter or the rim of a drinking glass.
Place both the circles of bread and the outer rings in the hot skillet. The circles of bread should not be in the hole they came out of, but separate in the pan.
Allow the bread to toast for a minute, then crack an egg into the open hole in each slice of bread.
Season the egg with salt and pepper. Allow to cook for about a minute, or until the bottoms are set.
Flip and cook until the eggs reach your desired level of doneness.
Serve right away. We like using the bread circles to dip in the yolk... it's so good!
