Sour Cream Raisin Pie

Sour cream raisin pie is a vintage dessert recipe that you have to try. The filling is creamy and almost tastes like lemon and the fluffy meringue is delicious, but you can use whipped cream if you prefer. Either way it is delicious!

Pie Crust Sour Cream Raisins Eggs  Flour  Sugar  Cream of Tartar 

Blind bake the pie crust by fitting it in the pan, docking the bottom, and filling it with parchment and weights.

When it is lightly golden, set it aside to cool.

Mix together the sugar and flour in a saucepan to get rid of any lumps.

Stir in the egg yolks,, sour cream, and raisins.

Cook until thickened. Put in pie crust.

Whip egg whites, cream of tartar, and sugar into a fluffy meringue.

Spread over warm filling, making sure to go all the way to the edge.

Bake until lightly golden. Cool and chill before serving.
